B-I-N-G-O this Friday, November 20
Join Buckland Mills PTO, staff and students as we play BINGO this Friday, November 20. There are great prizes available - Nintendo Wii game system, Rockband game system and more. There is even a Mystery Raffle Prize! Bingo Books can be pre-purchased by completing an order form (these were sent home last week and are currently available in the office). Bingo Books may also be purchased at the door. Raffle tickets are available at the door - one canned good earns one raffle ticket - help us support our community food drive.
Doors open at 6:30pm for pre-purchased bingo books.
Games being at 7pm sharp.

School of Excellence Designation
Buckland Mills Elementary is proud to announce that it has once again obtained the designation of School of Excellence for Prince William County Schools. We are extremely proud of our students and teachers. All of their hardwork and planning throughout the year has paid off. Parents, we also salute you in your efforts to provide extended educational opportunities at home. A strong home-school connection is vital to supporting the education of our students.

Inclement Weather Procedures
Each year we ask parents to familiarize themselves with our Inclement Weather Procedures. Superintendent Walts has published his annual letter concerning such procedures. We will make every effort to post closings on this website as soon as the school district makes a decision. PTO Information Available
In an effort to keep all Buckland Mills families informed, our PTO has launched an updated webpage. PTO newletters, agendas, and board members' contact information can be found here. To visit the PTO's updated webpage click on Parent Groups at the top of this page and select PTO once the Parent Groups page has opened.
Remember, monthly PTO meetings are held the first Tuesday of each month. These meetings are open to all parents and guardians. Our PTO is always in need of volunteers - no job is too small. Current Information from our School Nurse
During the next few months we will continue to see students out with the flu and influenza like illnesses. In order to help us all stay as healthy as possible, please continue to follow the recommendations set out at the beginning of the school year. Please click on the picture below to link to the Virginia Department of Education where you will find a video addressing proper procedures to take in school when you or your child are experiencing flu-like symptoms. Please take a moment to view this clip as it is very informative.

1. Logon to our SchoolFusion website
2. Scroll down the left side and click on My Personal Settings
3. Click on the Notifications tab
4. Select Setup Daily Digest
5. Choose whether to receive notifications on the day of the event, the day before the event or not at all
Selecting to receive notifications means that any event on our School Calendar will be sent as a reminder to your registered email address. This is a great way to stay connected!
